Ali"s FOOD

One of   Ali"s  companions went to see him on New   Year"s Day. Ali asked him to have breakfast with him and he accepted. 

A   very simple  kind  of  food  was served. The   companion said to Ali, "" O  lord, you are such a rich  man, a caliph,  a governor,  I expected that game should be served to us,  but  what do I see!?? 

Ali answered, "You  have heard of powerful kings who live with luxury. 

Let me live like a poor and humble person, a simple labourer.

Luxury: enjoyment      لذت

Humble=meek=modest:    متواضع 

Labourer =   worker   کارگر
